Street Photography–London

Black and White, England, London, Monochrome, Street Photography

Once again I hit the streets of London and took the DSLR along with my 28mm lens attached. One lens only. Although I feel I stick out like a sore thumb with my big camera hung around my neck but it is the only camera I got. So you work with what you got.

I tend to find that I rush my work. I rush to stop people from noticing me. I rush because I don’t want to hang around for someone to ask me what I am doing. So I quickly take the shot and hope for the best. I need to slow down. I need to practice more. I need to understand this genre of Street Photography. Because I like it, there is always something different happening on the streets.

My starting point is always London Waterloo, where I arrive via a train. Always worth a minute to see what you can capture.

Nearly deleted this shot since it is blurry, but the more I look at it the more I like it, blurriness and all.

This was my last shot of the day. A moment captured.

More to come…

  1. Good pics! You’re absolutely right about slowing down. Street photography is this weird mix of patient waiting for the moment and quick reaction in order to capture it:-) good luck with cracking the street photography puzzle!
